The CogAT test is made up of three sections called batteries (verbal, nonverbal, and quantitative). Each battery is made up of 3 sub-tests groups, which contain specific format for that sub-test. Each sub-test group contains 10-25 questions depending on grade level and which form of the test your child will be taking.
Additionally, the CogAT is not designed to measure a students overall academic performance. It only provides an indication of a students cognitive abilities and does not consider their academic achievement or other factors. Finally, the CogAT is an expensive exam and can be cost prohibitive for some families.
