If the judgment debtor (the losing party) does not voluntarily pay the judgment to the judgment creditor (the winning party), the judgment creditor may attempt to collect the judgment through the court process.
As long as the Order of Continuing Lien is in effect, the garnishee should continue to withhold the ordered amount of the judgment debtors wages and send it to you. However, any of the following events can cause this Order to terminate, at which point so will the garnishees payments to you.
Garnishment in aid of execution of a judgment is proper in Nebraska only when the garnishee has property of and is indebted to the judgment debtor, and the test for determining the liability of the garnishee defendant to the garnisheeing plaintiff is whether or not the facts would support a recovery by the principal
