4-H utilizes the skills of community members, university extension professionals, and volunteers to serve their members. Whereas, FFA has at least one advisor to lead each chapter. No matter what their differences, they both have a common goal: nurture the future generations of agriculture.
4-Hs curriculum is developed to engage a students head (knowledge), heart (compassion/community service), hands (work/skills) and health.
As stated in the FFA/4-H Statement of Relations, a student is eligible to participate in both FFA and 4-H simultaneously.
4‑H agriculture programs equip young people with the skills they need to succeed in life, and are available through local clubs, schools and grant-funded programs. Focus areas include biology, environmental science, agri-science, and veterinary science. Learn more about becoming a supporter of 4‑H agriculture programs.
The letters FFA stand for Future Farmers of America. These letters are a part of our history and our heritage that will never change.
