What are the requirements for filing IRS Form 7202? IRS Form 7202 is for self-employed individuals and gig workers, such as contractors and delivery drivers. It allows you to claim tax credits for sick and family leave under the FFCRA.
Generally, employers that file Form(s) 941, 943, 944, or CT-1 may file Form 7200 to request an advance payment of the tax credit for qualified sick and family leave wages, the employee retention credit, and/or the COBRA premium assistance credit.
If you are a qualifying business that can claim the ERC, you will need to fill out Form 941-X to update the information you did not add to your Form 941. To qualify, employers must have suffered a drop in gross income because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
