These Local Rules shall be known as the Local Rules of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. They may be cited as S.D. Fla. L.R.
RULE 16.4 NOTICE OF SETTLEMENT If the parties reach an agreement to settle the entire case or certain claims or issues therein, counsel shall notify the Court of such settlement by filing and serving a notice of settlement within two (2) Court days of such agreement being reached.
Cases shall be assigned on a blind rotation basis, within each chapter category, to a judge assigned to hear cases in the division to which the case has been assigned pursuant to subdivision (A)(1).
However, a party may respond within twenty-one days after service to a motion to dismiss, for judgment on the pleadings, for summary judgment, to exclude or limit expert testimony, to certify a class, for a new trial, or to alter or amend the judgment.
