Does Lis help with part B premium?

Many Part B covered drugs are infused or injected by physicians such as oncologists, rheumatologists, and urologists. Generally, Part B covers only drugs that are not usually self-administered. Medicare Part B pays for covered drugs and biologicals, including covered preventive vaccines, using several methodologies.

What are the benefits of a lis program?

The LIS program only covers costs related to Medicare Part D. Any premium subsidy refers to Medicare Part D (not Part B or C). Plan premium is determined based upon an individuals level of LIS (i.e. 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% premium subsidy).

Medicares Part D Low Income Subsidy (also called LIS, or Extra Help) helps enrollees pay for their prescription drug costs.
