Disqualification occurs when a student who as been placed on Warning fails to make SAP. When Disqualified, you lose your financial aid eligibility due to not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards.
A student not in good academic standing and on academic probation will be given financial aid warning for one quarter only. If a student fails to make satisfactory academic progress after the warning period, they will lose their aid eligibility unless they successfully appeal and are placed on financial aid probation.
Students previously assigned a Satisfactory SAP status, and who later do not meet SAP Standards at the end of a term, will be moved to a Warning SAP status. Once under a Warning status, students will have only one term (Fall, Winter/Spring, Summer) in which they can complete coursework in order to meet SAP standards.
If the grades earned during the students Warning term do not allow the student to meet all SAP components, they will be placed to Not Meet for their next semester of enrollment and lose aid eligibility for future semesters at that time.
