Certifications such as the Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), previously known as Certified Diabetes Educator or CDE, and/or the Board Certified - Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) credentials can add value to your role and showcase your knowledge of diabetes and related conditions.

Before you can complete the application process, youll need to pay the application fee. The fee for initial certification is $350.
Starting in 2020, CDEs will go from being Certified Diabetes Educators to our new name: Certified Diabetes Care Education Specialists (CDCES). To keep aligned with the AADEs new Project Vision, the National Certification Board of Diabetes Educators (NCBDE) is also changing their organization name and the test name.
