NSTB provides students enrolled in a teaching program in northern Alberta with $18,000 over 2 years. Half the amount is awarded to students in their last year of studies and the full amount is awarded over 2 years to students in their second to last year of their program.
Overview. The Individual Teacher Bursary program may give eligible teachers up to $4,000 each year for post-secondary courses (including masters and doctoral programs), training, and professional development in French or related to French-language learning, education, or pedagogy.
The program provides up to 10 bursaries of up to $4,200 each for certificated Alberta teachers to take a summer post-secondary program in a language other than English or a language instruction course at an institution outside of Canada.
The NADB provides funding for students up to $7,000 per year for a maximum of 2 years. The return of service is one year of full-time employment in your field of study for each year of bursary support received. Students must apply for the bursary for each year they want to be considered.
