Upon the payment of a fee, the independent study will be reviewed, and a transcript will be created. This transcript can then be forwarded to other universities for consideration as transfer credit. Many universities have a maximum number of credits that can be earned using this review process.
There is no cost of tuition for the Basic Academy courses. Some individuals taking courses at the National Emergency Training Center (NETC) in Emmitsburg, Maryland may be eligible for stipend reimbursement. Credits earned through taking FEMA courses are one form of alternative credit that may be accepted by universities as you are pursuing an associates or bachelors degree. Earning college credit through alternative means such as this can be a great way of reducing the cost of earning your college diploma.
Login to .nims-skills.org then click Testing Center. Click on My Credentials in the top gray toolbar. In the table below the page, it will show a list of all the credentials you have taken. You will see a printer icon under the Print Certificate column for credentials you have earned.
