A valid Yale ID with activated swipe access is required for entry after 6 pm Sunday - Thursday. During the summer and semester breaks, the Library is open weekdays from 8:30 am - 4:50 pm. The Special Collections reading room is open only weekdays, 9:00 am - noon and 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm.
Public visitors are welcome in the Beinecke Library exhibition hall on Monday and Tuesday, 9am 7pm; Wednesday, 10am 7pm; Thursday, 9am 7pm; Friday, 9am 5pm; and Saturday and Sunday, noon 5pm. Please check the Hours and Accessibility page on this website for detailed information.
