Section 2. The officers of the Post shall be a Commander, a Vice Commander, an Adjutant, a Finance Officer, a Judge Advocate, a Chaplain, a Sergeant At Arms, a Service Officer, a Post Historian and such officers as may be deemed necessary to satisfy the Post Objectives.

Knowledgeable of Post Commanders duties. Makes a membership report at all meetings. Mentors trains replacement. Performs other duties as needed.
The American Legion is organized into 55 departments, with one operating in each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, France, Latin America and the Philippines.
