The Governors Merit Scholarship (GMS) is designed to incentivize Ohios top graduating high school seniors to attend a college or university in the state. The GMS is offered to the top 5% (as determined by the high school) of graduating seniors in each of Ohios public and chartered, nonpublic (private) high schools.
The Ohio Hidden Heroes Scholarship will waive any remaining tuition and general fees waived after all other financial aid is applied to the participants tuition bill. Hidden Heroes also provides a stipend (in an amount determined by the college, school or university) to purchase textbooks each academic year.
The autism scholarship amount is the lesser of the fee charged for the child by the special education program or up to thirty-one thousand five hundred dollars per program year. The child must be in the program for the full academic year to receive the full amount.
Last-dollar scholarships are intended to be offered to students who demonstrate financial need. The goal is to make higher education more accessible to all by ensuring that students in need receive enough financial support to cover their entire tuition and fees.
