Student Eligibility Framework Louisiana Tech, in partnership with participating high schools, is pleased to provide an opportunity for qualified students to earn college credit while still enrolled in high school. All courses in the dual enrollment program are taught at the high school during the regular school day.

What are the disadvantages of dual enrollment?

Are there any disadvantages to dual enrollment? If a student fails a course as a dual enrollment student, the student will need to retake that course before being allowed to enroll in future classes. Too many failed dual enrollment classes will jeopardize future college enrollment and possibly financial aid.

Does LA Tech accept dual enrollment credits?

Credits earned through dual enrollment classes will transfer to all Louisiana public colleges and universities, as well as to many schools outside of Louisiana. At the end of the school year, students will have access, upon request, to a college transcript from Louisiana Tech with the grades made in the classes.

Do colleges count dual enrollment credits?

You can receive college credits by successfully finishing the dual enrollment course with a good grade, usually at least a C. These credits are often transferable to many colleges and universities, giving you a real advantage when you start your college journey.

Does LSU accept dual enrollment?
