What is the ISF data format?

To submit an ISF to Customs, it must be filed electronically via Customs and Border Protections Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) or the Automated Broker Interface (ABI). This can be done with the assistance of a Licensed Customs Broker, or through the use of a third-party software service.

How do I make an ISF declaration?

Typically, the ISF Importer is the goods owner, purchaser, consignee, or agent such as a licensed customs broker. However, for foreign cargo remaining on board (FROB), the ISF Importer is the carrier.

How to create an ISF?

If there is no shipment in Scope to link to the ISF entry, then the ISF entry can be created as a standalone. From the Scope menu select US Customs Importer Security Filing. An overview of all ISF entries will appear. Click New. Choose the type of ISF entry to be created.
