Clinical psychology programs are notoriously hard to get in to, and most have about a 1-2% acceptance rate. Usually 300-500 applicants, with only a handful accepted. This seems incredibly daunting and sometimes discourages me.

Usually, most high-ranked PhD programs look for a GPA around 3.75 or higher. However, this can be compensated for with a strong GRE score, a good research background, or strong LORs. Quality of school also matters; a 3.5 at a top undergraduate program may carry more weight than a higher GPA from a worse school.
Generally, psychology graduate schools require at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. While many graduate schools in psychology will not consider a student with a GPA lower than 3.0, competitive GRE scores may override a low GPA.
