The Ohio Department of Agricultures Division of Plant Health houses the Grain Warehouse, Feed Seed, Pesticide Fertilizer Regulation, and Plant Pest Control sections, which are responsible for many consumer- and farmer-protections regulations.
Ohio pesticide licensing fees are as follows: Commercial Applicator License: $35 (3 years) Private Applicator License: $30. Pesticide Business License: $35.
Each exam has between 25 and 150 questions, depending on the category. You must pass both the core exam and at least one category exam in order to become licensed. If you do not pass an exam, you may retake it without additional cost for one year. Exams can be taken as many times as needed in order to pass.
To become a licensed private pesticide applicator, you must pass the Ohio pesticide exams. You must take the private core exam and at least one category exam. Each category is specific to the crops you are raising.
Ohio pest control licenses are issued by the Ohio Department of Agriculture Pesticides License and Registration. Examination Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED. Applicants are required to take an exam for each license.
