The Finance/Administration Section Chief is responsible for managing all financial aspects of an incident. Not all incidents will require a Finance/Administration Section. Only when the involved agencies have a specific need for finance services will the Section be activated.
Ensure the collection, processing, and organizing of all incident information. Prepare, collect, evaluate, disseminate, and use incident information to develop the IAP. Coordinate with all sections to assure the IAP as proposed can be implemented and supported by available resources and reconcile any differences.
The Finance/Administration Section Chief, Type 1 (FSC1), is responsible for all financial, administrative, and cost analysis aspects of the incident. The FSC1 supervises members of the Finance/Administration Section and reports to the Incident Commander (IC).
