The RTT is equal to 1% of the propertys value at the time of the sale.
If you wish to request a refund or appeal an assessment or determination, a petition must be filed with the Board of Appeals. You can file a petition electronically at the Online Petition Center.
Transfer tax must be calculated for all properties, except mobile homes. To calculate the transfer tax amount, take the amount of your bid and multiply it by 5% for properties located in the City of Reading or 2% for properties outside of the City of Reading.
