It tells the story of Katherine Johnson, Mary Jackson and Dorothy Vaughan, among the first Black women who worked as mathematicians at Hamptons NASA Langley Research Center. They did crucial calculations for early rocket missions in the mid-20th century despite facing rampant racism and sexism.
This is the visitor center for NASA Langley Research Center and Langley Air Force Base. This world-class facility features the Adventures in Flight and Space Quest galleries and more than 100 hands-on exhibits that tell the story of air and space exploration.
Scheduled public tours are only open to U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, also known as green card holders. Foreign nationals scheduled to visit NASA shall work with their NASA sponsor prior to arrival for approval through the International Visit Coordinator and for visiting instructions.
