Alaskan Command (ALCOM) is a subunified command of U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). ALCOM is headquartered at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Anchorage, Alaska. Alaska-based forces include more than 20,000 Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine personnel, and 4,700 Guardsmen and Reservists.
JBER has over 32,000 Service Members, Civilians and Family members.
Approximately 40 aircraft are scheduled to be delivered to Elmendorf, with 20 aircraft designated for the 90th Fighter Squadron and the other 20 to the 525th Fighter Squadron which will be activated later this year. The Air Force Reserve will fly the F-22 as part of the 302nd Fighter Squadron.
