Way 1: Remove read-only by disabling the Mark as Final in PowerPoint Open the read-only PowerPoint presentation. You can click the Edit Anyway button to remove read-only restrict. Or click File tab in the ribbon, and select Info option. Then click Protect Presentation to disable Make as Final.
When a presentation is marked as final, other users can read and view it, but cant make any alterations. To lock the slides, click the File tab in PowerPoint and choose the Protect Presentation command in the Info pane. In the drop-down menu, select Mark as Final. That will set your presentation in read-only mode.
Use Mark as Final to make your Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file read-only. When you mark as final, typing, editing commands, proofing marks are disabled or turned off, and the file becomes read-only, and the Status property of the document is set to Final.
Open the PowerPoint presentation where you want to lock individual slides. Click on the slide that you want to lock, or select multiple slides by holding down the Ctrl key while clicking on them. From the Review tab at the top, click on Restrict Editing Lock All.
