How to drop or withdraw from a course Login to the SSC and select your campus and session. Select add/drop courses from the registration menu. You will see a list of your registered courses. Select the course you want to drop and click drop selected.
In some cases, you are allowed to override the maximum capacity of the course by submitting a Course Override request through your LAU Portal during the designated period on the calendar. Your request is studied by the related Chairperson of the course in question and approved/rejected ingly.
Courses taken on a Pass or No Pass basis will not count toward the GPA, but the credit hours successfully completed will be counted toward graduation. The Pass grade is given when the grade in the course is C or above.
Withdrawal from Courses. If a student withdraws officially from a course before the withdrawal deadline set for the semester, a grade of WI, WP, or WF is assigned. The student must submit a withdrawal form within the set deadline.
A withdrawal from a class (W) is GPA-neutral: instead of a grade, you receive a W notation on your transcript which does not affect your GPA; you also dont earn credits for the course.
