Durham Tech uses a 10-point grading system: 100-90 = A; 89-80 = B; 79-70 = C; 69-60 = D; 59 or below = F. Note that in courses that are taken in sequence, such as Spanish 111 and 112 or Chemistry 151 and 152, a grade of at least a C must be earned in order to proceed to the next level in the sequence.
The Durham Industrial Education Center officially opened its doors on September 5, 1961. The institution continued to operate as an Industrial Education Center until February 4, 1965, when the State Board of Education officially designated that henceforth it be properly identified as a technical institute.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is made possible by a grant from Americorps Seniors. With a current 16 service stations across the Yakima Valley, the program offers a wide-range of opportunities for seniors to put their myriad skills and knowledge to work in the places where their help is most needed.
