General Membership: A general member is a soror who has earned a baccalaureate, graduate, or professional degree in an accredited two, three, or four-year senior college or university. The general member is an active soror who is not a member of a local chapter.

To reactivate as a General Member, please complete the General Member Reactivation Form complete and submit to the Corporate Office plus money order/certified check for reactivation/reinstatement fees, per capita, fees and assessments, as applicable.

What is the late fee for AKA dues?

Each chapter member shall pay dues and assessments to the chapter on the basis of the yearly budget of the chapter. Chapter dues must be paid by January 1st. A late fee of 10% of the per capita tax will be assessed after January 15.

Alpha Kappa Alphas official undergraduate Membership Intake Process (MIP) begins with a Rush. This activity will be publicized for a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the event. There is no pledging. MIP activities in the name of the sorority prior to Rush are prohibited.
