Delegates may compete in their state or country pageants more than once, but may only compete at Miss Universe, Miss Teen USA or Miss USA once.
In order to compete in the state pageant, the contestant must be a: High school graduate (or equivalent) Medical and legal female, never married, not a parent. North Carolina resident or full-time employee or student. Citizen of the United States of America. Able to compete in all areas of competition.
To become Miss North Carolina, a 19-28 year old candidate must first enter and win a local competitiona process requiring hard work, talent and personal commitment. As a local titleholder, a candidate may go on to compete at the annual Miss NC Competition.
All women 18+ are eligible to enter as a contestant in the MISS NORTH CAROLINA USA pageant and Teens aged 14-18 are eligible for the MISS NORTH CAROLINA TEEN USA competition with the opportunity to compete at Miss USA or Miss Teen USA!
