Students may repeat an individual course for grade forgiveness no more than one time. A course may be repeated no more than two times without petition. A Petition for Exception to the Undergraduate Repeat Policy will be available during Late Registration. Please check the Registrars website for availability.
The applicant will need to go to their Student Center to learn if they have been admitted to the university by clicking on the Application Status link. Log into MySacState, navigate to the Student Center page: Only if you are Admitted, will the Accept/Decline Admission link be displayed.
Full-Time Status Undergraduate students enrolled in 12 or more units are considered full-time. Graduate students enrolled in 8 or more units are considered full-time. Note: off-university agencies may use different definitions for determining full-time status.
Passing grades are: A, B, C, D and all associated with + or - as well as a grade of CR (Credit). If you receive a passing grade, then enroll in the class a third time, those units will not be eligible for financial aid.
Admission Requirements (All Applicants) Preferred Cumulative Undergraduate GPA of 3.0. Applicants with GPAs between 2.5 and 2.99 will be given lower priority.

Students must pass at least 67 percent of units attempted. All graded coursework are counted, including repeats, in-progress and withdrawals. SAP review also incorporates all unsuccessful coursework attempted at Sacramento State (i.e. F, I, NC, W, WU). Transfer units are not included in this calculation.
A student is on Academic Probation when their CSUS GPA or Cumulative GPA is below a 2.0. The first semester on academic probation serves as a warning. Any student on probation will be limited to enrolling in no more than 14 units per semester. Meet with an Academic Advisor.
