Deadline to Submit AP Exam fees without penalty is October 25, 2024. Late registration is possible with a penalty fee of $50 per exam between November 18, 2024 and February 28, 2025. Both Step 1 and 2 must be completed to complete the exam order. Failure to complete both steps 1 and 2 by October 25, 2024.
Nonstandard Administration Reports (NARs) are the rosters showing all students approved for accommodations and taking an AP Exam. AP or SSD coordinators print the NAR from AP Registration and Ordering, fill it in during the exam, and keep the NAR on file at the school for six months.
AP Exams are scored on a scale of 1 to 5. Many U.S. colleges grant credit and/or advanced placement (that means they let you skip the equivalent course once you get to college) for scores of 3 and above.
What to Know About Extended Time. Under standard conditions, most AP Exams take 23 hours. For subjects that correspond to half-year college courses, the exam is closer to two hours. An accommodation for extended time usually gives either 50% or 100% more time.
If you already receive accommodations from your school or have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or a 504 Plan, you will also likely qualify.

AP tests are administered by The College Board, which also administers the SAT. However, not all AP tests are offered at every school. If you have an AP Coordinator at your school, talk to them directly about registration.
To take an AP Exam with accommodations, a student must be approved for accommodations by the College Board Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) office. Providing accommodations to students without College Board approval will result in cancellation of these students scores.
