  7. Subtract Lines 3 and 4 from the sum of Lines 1 and 2 to find your Florida net income for Line 5.
  8. Multiply the amount on Line 5 by the tax rate (5.5%) for Line 6. If this amount is zero or less, enter zero.
  9. Complete Lines 7 through 9 based on payment credits, penalties, and total amounts due or overpayment as applicable.
