Adult singles and skating skills tests are divided into eight levels: pre-bronze, bronze, silver, gold, Adult intermediate, Adult novice, Adult junior and Adult senior. The standard free skate test structure is comprised of eight levels ranging from pre-preliminary to senior.
Moves in the Field (MITF) are a set of tests that require skaters to perform specific patterns on the ice to show mastery of turns and steps (e.g. three-turns, brackets, or counter turns) basic skills.
Pairs and dance levels include preliminary, juvenile, intermediate, novice, junior, and senior. Senior-level pairs skaters are required to include two synchronized double jumps, a pair spin, a double throw jump, and one double twist lift in their test program.
Effective July 1, 2023 the following test names will be changing: Moves in the field tests will be renamed skating skills tests. Free skate tests will be renamed singles tests.
