The Privately Owned Firearms (POF) Range, also known as Range 16, is located on Market Garden Road in building R016B. The range is open on weekends and DONSAs. Winter hours (September - April), the range is open 0900-1600 and during summer hours (May - August) the range is open 1100-1800.
If you cant get base housing, check out Oak Grove. Its the closest city to base on the KY side. My first place was in Clarksville and I liked it but the traffic into main gate was a nightmare. I found a place right off state line road and it was awesome.
