Parents who are first-time borrowers of the Federal Direct PLUS Loan must complete an electronic Master Promissory Note (MPN) to receive the funds. The MPN can be completed on-line at .
To get a copy of your MPN, all youve got to do is log into studentaid.gov. To log into the site, enter your FSA ID. Once youre in, you can then choose the menu bar entitled My Loan Documents. From there, simply click on Completed Master Promissory Notes.
The Master Promissory Note (MPN) is a legal document in which you promise to repay your loan(s) and any accrued interest and fees to the U.S. Department of Education. It also explains the terms and conditions of your loan(s).
