ADUs are subordinate in size, location, and use to the principal structure. The unit may be attached or detached from the principal residence, but must meet all residential building codes, including a permanent foundation.
For most residential projects, the permit fee is $200. The total fee for your project will be calculated by adding the base fee, plus any other applicable fees. For example, if your project includes electrical work, youll need to pay an additional fee of $50. If youre doing plumbing work, the additional fee is $100.
