The purpose of the SCLRCs Side Lot Disposition Program is to turn tax delinquent, vacant and abandoned lots into well- maintained, tax-producing properties by making these properties available to qualified contiguous property owners.
The tax exemption is limited to the homestead, which Ohio law defines as an owners dwelling and up to one acre of land. The value of the exemption may not exceed the value of the homestead. The 2021 income threshold is $34,200, and the 2022 threshold is $34,600.
Side Lot Program This program allows interested property owners the opportunity to pursue the acquisition of adjacent property that is vacant and abandoned residential property under one acre.
