Is AAPC membership worth it?

For AAPC members, the cost for the CPC exam is $399 for 1 attempt and $499 for 2 attempts. Non-members must first purchase an AAPC membership, which starts at $222 annually. Recertification requires earning 36 continuing education units (CEUs) every two years, with an annual membership renewal fee of $222.

What is the difference between AAPC and CPC?
