The FIU Installment Payment Plans are only available through your MyFIU student portal. To qualify for the payment plan, students should: Have a tuition and fees balance greater than $200* Be in program of study that is eligible for a payment plan.

What is student loan refund?

A student loan refund is the result of a student borrowing a loan in order to cover some of the college costs that are not billed directly to a students account (such as books and supplies or an off-campus apartment).

Is a D still a passing grade in high school?

For your high school, a D is passing. You can graduate with Ds, but you cannot go to college with Ds. Colleges will give you ZERO credit for the class, just like you got an F. This is true no matter what the class is, even if it is not a required class.

How many times can you retake a class at FIU?

After 3 Attempts All courses taken with grades earned will be recorded on the students transcript, regardless of the forgiveness policy. Students not using the forgiveness policy may still repeat a course. All attempts will apply to computation of the GPA but credit for 1 attempt will apply towards graduation.

How long does FIU refund take?

Typically, 2-3 business days after the official add/drop date, disbursements take place and runs for 1-3 business days to fully process by the Financial Aid Office. After all account charges are fully paid, refunds take 5-7 business days to process by the Office of Student Financials.
