How long does it take FAU to make a decision?

Decisions are issued approximately four weeks from the time all application materials are received and the application is considered complete. Please keep in mind that when requesting electronic transcripts from other institutions, it may take 5-7 business days for FAU to receive and process the requested items.

What is the Gordon rule for FAU?

The Gordon Rule states that the student must have four courses of 24,000 words in the area of writing. Most English I and II courses consist of 6,000 words of writing each. The student will need to provide documentation for the additional 12,000 words of writing.

Is FAU test optional for 2024?

An SAT or ACT is required of all applicants for freshman admission. Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score for admissions consideration.

Does FAU have grade forgiveness?

The University Forgiveness Policy permits an undergraduate student to repeat an FAU course and allows only the higher grade to count in the grade point average. The policy does not remove the previous grade but eliminates the effect of that grade on the students GPA by removing it from the computation.
