The Honors College offers three flexible curricular pathways that accommodate students within any major(s): the Honors Baccalaureate, the Provosts Scholars pathway, and the 1874 Scholars pathway.
The honors record is an advising tool that showcases outstanding examples of student work into an electronic portfolio. As students submit to the honors record, they will be able to track their progress in the Honors College and create an archive of materials that they can show future employers.
Prospective students are eligible to apply to the Honors Program if the student meets the following criteria: 3.65 GPA (unweighted), 28 ACT, 1250 combined verbal and quantitative SAT, top 10 percent of graduation class, or evidence of motivation and commitment to academic excellence.
Those students in the top 1% of their colleges graduates receive the title of Summa Laude, the top 5%-1.01% receive the title of Magna Laude, and the top 10%-5.01% receive the title of Laude. Ranking is based on University of Nevada, Reno and cumulative grade point averages.
