How to File: Homeowners will be mailed applications after the end of the income tax filing season in April, and they will apply for their rebates either online at: .state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/ or by phone at 1-877-658-2972 (toll-free within NJ, NY, PA, DE, and MD) or 609-826-4288 (anywhere).
Applicants will be notified if they need to file separately. Payment Amounts in 2024 (amounts for 2025 are TBD): Homeowners with income of $150,000 or less will receive $1,500 ($1,750 if age 65 or older). Homeowners with income of more than $150,000 and up to $250,000 will receive $1,000 ($1,250 if age 65 or older).
This bill allows New Jersey seniors, 65 years of age and older, whose annual household income, for federal tax purposes, is under $50,000 to also qualify for an annual deferral of property tax payments.
If you do not receive your check within 30 days of the date the check was issued, or if you received a check that was lost, stolen, or destroyed, you can request a replacement check. Call the Customer Service Center at 609-292-6400 and speak to a Division Representative. The Division will trace the check.
