Isolated time out, time out, and physical restraint, as defined in this Section, shall be used only when the students behavior presents an imminent danger of serious physical harm to the student or others and other less restrictive and intrusive measures have been tried and proven ineffective in stopping the imminent
Use best professional judgment to determine whether restraint is clinically indicated for the individual patient. Obtain the patients informed consent to the use of restraint, or the consent of the patients surrogate when the patient lacks decision-making capacity.
