Parents must also include telephone number and address. If address changes, notification should be sent to the school board.
In Ontario, we have a very easy system. You are asked to send a Letter of Intent to provide Home Education to the school board in which your child has been registered, and that is all. You do not need to fill out any other forms, submit a learning plan, or anything else.
Withdraw your child from school If your kid is currently enrolled in or registered to attend a publicly funded school in Ontario (public, Catholic, or francophone), you must notify the school board in writing of your intention to homeschool him instead. You should give a copy of your notice to the principal as well.
Students must stay in school or an equivalent learning program approved by the Ministry of Education until they are 18. Parents who neglect to send, or refuses to let, their children go to school can be charged for their childs truancy.
