The Bronze Award Project is a team effort by a group of Juniors, usually from a single troop. The projects objective must be to benefit the local community and/or benefit Girl Scouting as a whole in some way. Each scout is expected to contribute 20 hours to the project.

How do you qualify for the Bronze Award?

You can start your Bronze Award if you are 14 or older. Youll need to participate in your activities regularly for a minimum duration of time for an average of an hour per week. Adventurous Journey 2 day + 1 night plus training, preparation, and a practice journey.

Which is higher bronze or silver?

One consistent feature of any Olympic game is that the first-place athlete will be awarded a gold medal, second place a silver medal and third place a bronze medal.

What does the Bronze Award mean in Girl Scouts?

The Bronze Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Junior can earn. To earn it, you and your team will identify a community issue you care about. (Your team is you and other Girl Scout Juniors who are going on this adventure with you, plus your troop/group volunteer.)

Do you have to earn the Bronze Award to earn the Silver Award?

Girls who did not earn the Bronze Award can go on to earn the Silver Award. Girls who did not earn the Silver Award can go on to earn the Gold Award. Girls who earn the Silver do have the added advantage of dropping one of the required Journeys for the Gold Award.
