Change account types Go to Settings ⚙. Select Chart of Accounts. Locate the first subaccount to change. From the Action column dropdown menu, select Edit. Clear the Is subaccount checkbox. Select the new Account Type from the dropdown menu. Select the appropriate Detail Type from the dropdown list.
How do I enter a new expense category? On your left panel, select Accounting. Select Chart of accounts. On the right side beside Run Report, click the green colored box with New inside it. A new prompt will pop up for a New account, select the Expense icon.
Go to Bookkeeping and select Chart of accounts (Take me there). Select New. Select the appropriate account type from the Account Type dropdown menu. Select the appropriate Detail Type from the dropdown menu.
You can change an items type if the item is an inventory (windows only), non-inventory, or other charge item. Go to Lists, and select Item List (for Windows) or Items (for Mac). Double-click the item you want to change. Select Type, then select the new item type.
