How to Change Your Undergraduate Primary or Secondary Major Incoming freshmen (before classes begin): use this Office of Admissions major change request form. Current students: Log in to MyIUP and select Academics. In the Modify Academic Record portlet, select Change your primary or secondary major.
Definition of Full time Enrollment: Undergraduate Students- undergrads are required to enroll in a minimum of 12 units per semester. This includes students who are pursuing a 2nd Bachelors degree. Graduate Students and Post-Baccalaureate- graduate students are required to enroll in a minimum of 8 units per semester.
To change your major you must complete a major change form in University College. This can either be done at the front desk or during your advising appointment. This cannot be done online. There is also no limit to the number of times that you can change your major.
Undergraduate students who wish to change their major, minor, or concentration should use the Change of Major, Minor, or Concentration Form available on the MyCompass forms website. The form will be routed electronically to the appropriate department for approval and then to Registrars for processing.
