Oklahoma teachers must renew their Standard Teaching Certificate every 5 years. Teachers in Oklahoma must complete 75 clock hours of professional development during that 5 year period and submit a Summary of Professional Development Points for Certification Renewal form to the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
The appropriate number of clock-hours of continuing professional education (CPE) must be completed during each five-year renewal period (TAC 232.11). Classroom teachers must complete 150 CPE hours. No more than 150 CPE hours are required, even if the educator holds multiple classroom certificates.
To request a copy of your traditional high school diploma or transcript, please contact the issuing school or district. Only the test taker can initiate a diploma/transcript search. Federal law prohibits ODCTE AEFL staff from discussing test taker information with 3rd party requestors.
