Commissioner salary is set by Louisiana Revised Statute 45:1162 at $45,000 annually. In addition, they receive a vehicle allowance of $8,400 annually, for a total annual salary $53,400. Three Commissioners also receive a cell phone allowance of $900 for a total salary of $54.300. The PSC has 5 Commissioners.
The Louisiana Public Service Commission regulates areas of the Motor Carrier, Telecommunications, Electric, Gas, Water and Sewerage, Common Carriers and Pipeline industries.
