Death certificates may be obtained through the mortuary that handled your loved ones final arrangements. Death certificates are also available through the Vital Records Section of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Ph: 303-692-2200.
Certified copies of death records are $20.00 for the first copy and $13.00 for each additional copy issued at the same time for the same record. You also will be required to submit a photo copy of your identification and proof of relationship to purchase birth or death certificates.
For all other records, contact the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk at 800-201-8999. You can visit their website at .lavote.gov/home/recorder. Death Certificates are available 10 days after the original certificate has been registered.
