Youre never too old to start Cheerleading. Its for everyone of all ages which is as COOL AS COCONUTS.
Step 1: Pre-Practice Preparation Warm-Up: 10 minutes. Stretching and Conditioning: 15 minutes. Tumbling Drills: 20 minutes. Stunt Rehearsal: 30 minutes. Routine Run-Throughs: 20 minutes. Cool-Down: 5 minutes.
0:11 12:00 Tumbling which is any type of gymnastics that can be done on the floor. And stunting or buildingMoreTumbling which is any type of gymnastics that can be done on the floor. And stunting or building this is any type of lifts. Or basket tosses that the girls would perform. Cheer is words with motion.
For the example I used above, I would put things in the following order: Warm-Up 10 minutes. Tumbling Foundations 15 minutes. Take-Off Landing Drills 10 minutes. Tumbling Skills 20 minutes. Stunting 20 minutes. Conditioning 20 minutes. Flexibility Training 15 minutes. Routine Cleaning/Choreography 10 minutes.
They will learn confidence early and get over stage fright. I would say seven to eight years old is a good time to start. Around that age, they truly know what they want. Tumbling prior to that would be a plus, but competitive cheerleading should start around that age so they arent too shy and have that edge.

Its never too late! Dont get discouraged if you arent able to learn new skills as quickly as some of the younger kids. Remember that theyve been doing it longer and started earlier, but that theres absolutely nothing wrong with starting at 14. Just enjoy it and have fun with it :)
