The DASH is a 30-item self-report questionnaire designed to assess musculoskeletal disorders of the upper limbs. It has two, 4-item, optional modules used to measure symptoms and function in athletes, artists, and workers who require a high level of function.
At least 10 of the 11 items must be completed for a score to be calculated and the scores range from 0 (no disability) to 100 (most severe disability). This score was designed be useful in patients with any musculoskeletal disorder of the upper limb.
The DASH tool (Domestic Abuse, Stalking, Harassment and Honour Based Violence Assessment) is part of the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Co-ordinator (MARAC) referral.
