You dont fill out the child tax credit form (form 8812). TurboTax (TT) automatically fills it out for you. All you do is enter the child-dependents information in the personal information section and your W-2 for income. If for some reason, you dont get the Child tax credit, you can have TT redo it.
To claim the Additional Child Tax Credit, you need to complete Schedule 8812 and attach it to your Form 1040 or Form 1040-SR.
